Square Wood Coffee Table – Making a wooden pallet coffee table is within everyone’s reach. Recycling some wooden pallets allows combining economy and ecology. With a little imagination and a few hours of crafts, you get a table that is both modern and original. Good to know: you can also make a table, simpler, with a single palette. Sand the pallets over their entire surface using a coarse grain to remove rough edges. Iron the sander with a thinner grain for a smoother feel.
Each palette will be completed with a solid background. This offers more storage for magazines, books, etc. Choose the palette that will serve as the top shelf for the square wood coffee table. If the pallet plate is not full, complete it with cleats: Take wooden battens whose width corresponds to the spacing between the planks of the pallet. Cut the cleats to the length of the boards.
Insert them into the spaces between the boards. Correct the length and width of the cleats if necessary. Remove them. Turn the palette over once the stain or paint is dry. Recess the bottom if there is one between the soles of the side, and nail it on the central dice. Place the top square wood coffee table tray on the bottom tray, making sure they are an edge to edge. Secure the two pallets together with brackets on the sides.
