Well, that was an unexpected break.
My blog path wandered completely away from the computer, I had a hard time finding it in all of thing things that were going on.
Sorry about that, I didn’t have a chance to explain while it was all happening.
It was another one of those “life despite our intentions just goes ahead and does what it wants, and we had better go with it because otherwise we’re are just swimming against the current” moments.
Had a few too many of them lately for my comfort level.
All of our blogging paths wander occasionally
We’ve all gone through this as bloggers, happily moving forward, blogging our hearts out, planning, deciding, tweaking, posting, visiting.
Out of the blue, a sudden veer off the path in another direction derails everything
Bringing it to a screeching halt, wheels squealing in an ear-splitting screech, like a train attempting to stop on wet metal tracks.
It could be anything in life, a computer failure, a move to a new site/domain that didn’t go as planned, [had more than one of those] health concerns.
Or when family and life collide in a way that stops all of your happy thoughts from drifting onto a computer screen to be shared with those who faithfully read your blog?
That pretty much covers everything that has happened to me over the last little while.
Let’s move forward.
Spring is a teaser that’s certain.
The sun is out, although spring seems to have taken another break...most likely parading around on a warm white sanded beach in a tiny blue polka-dotted bikini, leaving us shivering in our fleece, and woolen socks here.
It’s not nice to do that to us, especially after the warm days, and nights we met head on in our shorts the other week. Those fling open the windows, and doors, ushering out the stale winter air like a bad guest who has over stayed their welcome…the airport’s this way…let’s take you there right now.
The “Oh thank goodness Winter’s gone” kind of feelings.
Spring changed its plans without letting us know about it
And seems to have jetted off unexpectedly.
I’m sure spring will return, in the now drooping leaves unfurling slowly on the reddish maple, emerging as the green buds from the Gingko. Hydrangea stemming from the brown twigs after a winter frolicking under the snow.
It’s in the seeping green of the moss mixed in the grass, and the frilly yellow dandelions that will turn into clouds of fluff to be blown away with the slightest breath.
In the tiny violets appearing out of nowhere in the patio blocks, shivering purple in the cold.
The cat wants in and out, cold bottom coated in billowing pollen which he happily shakes off at the mat.
The birds are quiet, waiting for an arrival of chirps, and demanding peeps.
Soon to come with spring.
And life moves forward.
While blossoms burst like firecrackers on this amazing Flowering Almond which is one spring surprise that we never tire of.
PS: I’m adding this in at a later time because I don’t want anyone to be concerned. We all know how easy it is for blog posts to be misunderstood, one comment leads to another and the next thing you know…it’s gotten a life of it’s own, and doesn’t represent anything that you originally meant.
All is well, it was a busy time last week with family issues, and things that life normally throws at us as we get older. That kind of days, for me mean it’s almost impossible to get to the computer, rather then write something trivial, or to just post because… I stay away.
For me, that works best. I so appreciate all of your concern and kind words. I’ve found my peaceful place, and had a bit of much needed down time, lol.
