Enough is good, in fact enough is pretty great most of the time….right? Although…sometimes enough can be too much, as in too much of a sweet dessert, or too many hours binge watching a TV show, or overflowing inboxes.
But…we can never have too much happiness, I’m right aren’t I?
March seems to be all about enough…tipping the scales, trying to claim the title of the month for too much, too many things on the to do list, too much to be done in the garden, too much cranky kitty at 4 am and..too many photos….everywhere.
Call this un-photo-believable but on the same day my phone started sending me distress signals that it was suffering from indigestion and file overload claiming it couldn’t eat another byte, Dropbox sent me a notice that my extra [as in I never thought it would run out ever but apparently it does end sometime] storage was going to go away in a month. And then Google said it was more than happy to hang onto the huge amount of photos it had stored in it’s basement for me all this time thank you very much, but don’t call us, we’ll call you
Which reminded me of the time my parents phoned and said “it’s time for you to pick up that stuff you stored in the garage years ago, oh and by the way we’re moving.”
That really happened.
It’s freaky to have to suddenly find a new place to keep your stuff when you’ve fooled yourself into thinking it was out of sight, out of mind and that everyone else was in on that plan too
It’s enough to fill that box
Dropbox rocks! It sends the photos taken with my phone to the cloud…for free although they only give 2 GB which isn’t much when you take as many photos as I do, I really got used to having all that extra storage space 53 GB of it…was like having a entire storage building to keep your stuff in, so of course you kept adding more stuff.
This dramatic decrease in storage means I’m being told that the stuff that’s been hanging out in my parents garage forever had better be cleaned up and organized because they are saying “there’s only so much room, and you need to be fair and share with your Sister.”
Of course I could purchase more online cloud storage, but I’d rather spend my money on something fun….as in a new lens. Or a new phone, one with a lot more storage.
I’ve been going through the millions of mini movies created using the 1 second everyday App... Another thing that totally rocks, I’m in love with that app, you’ve got to try it. I’ve gotten rid of the extra copies of the 718 Instagram photos that my phone thought I had to keep.
Next up, I have a external harddrive that will take everything after I download it…but that will take some organizing.
I’m deleting, downloading compressing, similar to shifting boxes from one side of the garage to the other and stuffing things in wherever there is space….no way do I want to rent another storage locker.
Sooooo, anyone got a empty garage they want filled up?

I’m taking a bit of a blog break for the next week or so…RURAL magazine needs some attention, and those gazbillions of photos need to be organized, and stored away, but I’ll be back on WEDNESDAY’S after this, no more Fridays.
I’m looking forward to sharing another sparkling post with you on Wednesday March 23.
Don’t miss the next blog post subscribe here to be part of Gatherings, that’s my weekly email with the latest blog posts, and the occasional free download for you to print out. I’d love to see you there.
Now where did I put that cardboard box?…
